Mona Lisa is a character on the animated television series The Tick.

History[]

Note: this article only refers to the events of the series and related media.

Mona Lisa, or Lisa del Giocondo, was posing for Leonardo da Vinci's famous portrait, when they were abducted by the Mother of Invention, and brought through time to The City in the 1990s, along with some of history's greatest inventors (his plan is explained in the episode's article). However, after helping free Leonardo da Vinci, she and the inventors managed to free themselves, just in time to assist Leonardo, and his cavalry of Tick and Arthur.

Because she was returned to her time, it is safe to assume that she died around the same time as the real Mona Lisa.

Personality[]

Mona Lisa seems to be in good terms with Leonardo da Vinci, reprimanding him when he neglects painting her portrait, but also proudly smiling when he impresses the other inventors with his escape device. When da Vinci was looking for help and Mona Lisa was still caged with the other inventors, she placed her hand on Johannes Gutenberg's, thou.
